Peppol Connectivity – Now Available Through AdvanceFirst Technologies Managed EDI Services

As part of our ongoing commitment to expand the digital trading capabilities of our customers, AdvanceFirst Technologies are pleased to announce that Peppol connectivity is now available as an extension of our Managed EDI Service portfolio.

What is Peppol?

Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line) is an internationally adopted framework designed to enable interoperable, secure and standards-based electronic document exchange between private and public-sector trading partners. Originally developed to support cross-border public procurement across Europe, Peppol is now used globally for the exchange of electronic invoices, purchase orders, shipping notifications and other structured business documents.

What this means for our Managed EDI Services Clients.

For organisations that already rely on EDI, Peppol offers a natural extension of existing investments, enabling:

  • Seamless e-invoicing and procurement messaging with government bodies and private-sector customers.
  • Standardised, compliant and secure document exchange across European and global trading communities.
  • Reduced manual intervention and processing costs through interoperable digital document flows.
  • Rapid onboarding to new trading partners without custom point-to-point integrations.
  • Improved accuracy, transparency, and processing speed across EDI workflows.

We have already successfully enabled Peppol e-Invoicing for one of our long-standing EDI customers in the petrochemicals sector, allowing them to send Peppol-compliant electronic invoices directly to key customers via our managed EDI Services.

This enhancement ensures that our clients can continue to leverage the full value of their existing EDI infrastructure while adopting next-generation digital procurement standards at their own pace – supported end-to-end by our managed services team.

For further information about how Peppol can be activated within your existing EDI environment, please contact us. We would be delighted to discuss use cases, onboarding timelines and compliance requirements.
